Christian Leaders in Myanmar Press Forward Despite Earthquake and Civil War

Some walked for hours. Others traveled through regions of active military conflict — one group even passed through live gunfire — just to attend the five-day training in Yangon.

Their determination to be equipped in evangelism and leadership amid crisis was nothing short of miraculous. Their testimonies are a living witness to the unshakable power of the Gospel.

Throughout the week, these leaders were:

  • Trained in evangelism strategies and discipleship tools

  • Strengthened through Spirit-filled sessions and prayer

  • Sent out with vision to reach the unreached in Myanmar

The training didn’t stop at spiritual impact. Through local church networks, financial aid was released to families affected by the earthquake, ensuring holistic care during one of Myanmar’s most difficult seasons.

Partnerships that Made a Difference

This mission was made possible through a powerful collaboration between:

  • Lionface Ministries International — our incredible training partner

  • LWC Yangon and Pastor Wai Tun — who hosted and led with excellence

  • Chin Christian Alliance (CCA) — for their logistical and ministry support

  • Pastor Joseph and his faithful leaders — serving with integrity and sacrifice

To every volunteer, donor, and intercessor: you were part of this breakthrough. Your prayers and generosity helped make history in Myanmar.

A Miracle in Timing: Borders Close After the Training Ends

In yet another sign of God’s divine timing, just one day after our team safely exited the country, Myanmar’s government suspended all tourist visas, making it nearly impossible for foreigners to enter.

Yet God made a way — allowing the training to be completed, and His Light Bearers to be equipped just in time.

The Mission Continues: Evangelism Training in Restricted Nations

As part of KMI’s global mission, Light Bearers Evangelism Intensives (LBEI) are being pioneered in several restricted and persecuted nations in the 10/40 Window.

We believe God is raising a generation of bold, resilient, Spirit-empowered leaders who will carry the Gospel into the darkest places of the earth.

This is just the beginning.

How You Can Be Part of the Movement

Your involvement matters. Here’s how you can support:

  • Pray for open doors and protection over upcoming LBEI trainings.

  • Give to help send teams, equip leaders, and provide emergency relief.

  • Partner with us to bring the Gospel to the unreached.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” – John 1:5

Join Us in Piercing the Darkness

Let’s continue to believe for transformation across Myanmar and beyond. Together, we are equipping the nations. Together, we are raising Light Bearers.
